Matteo Berrettini reached the next round of the Rio Open after a hard-fought win over Tomas Barrios Vera. The Italian saved all five break points he offered up and won 79% of his first serve points as he claimed a 7-6 (1) 7-5 win. Berrettini made his first start of the season in Buenos Aires last week, getting through tothe round-of-16.
