Matteo Arnaldi vs Francisco Cerundolo prediction
Matteo Arnaldi did not perform well in Winston-Salem as he lost to Botic van de Zandschulp in the second-round after receiving a bye. He is without a win in his last three matches after a similarly early exit in Cincinnati. His results have not been as strong in comparison to how he fared during the earlier part of the year, which included a semi-final run in Delray Beach.
Francisco Cerundolo did pick up a few victories in Toronto but was forced to retire from his round-of-16 match against Alexander Zverev after losing the first set, due to an abdominal strain. That would have been a real disappointment for the Argentine as he had performed well at the tournament following a period of poor form after the end of the clay court season.
Cerundolo would be the favourite, but question persists over his fitness for this one. We can see this being decided in four or five sets.
