Marton Fucsovics vs Tommy Paul prediction
Tommy Paul was one of the early starters on the opening day at Roland Garros and overcame losing the first set to book his place in the second-round. Paul won 6-7 6-2 6-3 6-1 against Elmer Moller and now has five wins from his last six matches after his second successive run to the semi-finals of the Italian Open. The American is finding form at the right time and will hope to better his best run here, which was a third-round appearance achieved last year.
Marton Fucsovics easily defeated Tristan Schoolkate 6-4 6-2 6-2 to reach round two. The Hungarian was broken just once all match and can now look forward to a third encounter against Paul. Fucsovics has won their two previous matches, but this will be their first on a clay court.
Despite Paul’s resurgence over the past few weeks, Fucsovics is a potentially tricky opponent and has already got the better of him on two occasions. We still think the world number 12 is likely to make it through but he can’t allow his level to drop.
