Marton Fucsovics vs Taylor Fritz prediction

Martin Fucsovics will hope lightning strikes twice when he appears in his fourth Stuttgart quarter-final.

The Hungarian shocked Taylor Fritz 6-4 7-5 at this stage of the tournament two years ago and will have his sights locked on another big upset this time around against the second seed.

The world number 112 made it four straight wins at this event (including qualifiers) with a 7-6 6-3 triumph over Arthur Rinderknech. 

Fritz’s first match on grass in 2025 was a positive one as he saw off Quentin Halys 6-3 7-6 and he does lead the head-to-head with Fucsovics 2-1.

This tournament seems to bring out the best in the 33-year-old underdog and he could cause a few problems here, but Fritz is so solid that it’s more likely his consistent serve will earn him revenge for 2023 and ease him into the last four.
