Marton Fucsovics vs Tallon Griekspoor prediction
Marton Fucsovics comfortably advanced into the second-round of the tournament after defeating Hugo Gaston 6-3 6-3. The Hungarian won 80% of his first serve points and conceded just two break point opportunities as he wrapped up the win after just an hour and 21 minutes.
He will now go up against Tallon Griekspoor, who received a bye in round one. The Dutchman has struggled for form ever since winning the Mallorca Championships on the eve of Wimbledon. He lost in the first-round at SW19 and has since followed that up with similarly early exits in Bastad, Toronto and Cincinnati.
Fucsovics has the upper hand in the head-to-head, winning all three of their encounters, but this will be their first match on outdoor hard court. Their last match saw the Hungarian win in straight sets on his way to winning the Bucharest Open last spring.
Despite the disparity in ranking, Fucsovics has always been a tough opponent for the Dutchman and we can envision him pushing Griekspoor all the way to three sets.
