Martin Landaluce vs Rafael Jodar prediction
Martin Landaluce is out of the tournament in the group stage after his second straight defeat. He took the first set against top seed Learner Tien, but still went on to lose 1-4 4-1 4-3 (4) 4-3 (2). Landaluce recovered from a 3-0 deficit in the final set, but Tien would still go on to claim victory.
He faces compatriot Rafael Jodar next. He was not able to back up his momentous victory against Tien in his first match, as he lost to Nicolai Budkov Kjaer in four sets. Jodar was broken on six occasions as he was defeated 4-1 4-2 1-4 4-2 after one hour and 16 minutes. He will need to win his last match to give himself the best possible chance of qualifying for the semi-finals.
Jodar has been the superior player of the two so far this week and will be desperate to put in a good showing and advance further in the competition.
