Cameron Norrie will lean heavily on experience when he takes on Spanish teenager Martin Landaluce. 

The former British number one is currently ranked 91 in the world and is desperate for a deep run to arrest the slide with a 5-9 record for the year so far. 

The 19-year-old wildcard, Landaluce should provide him with the ideal opponent in Madrid as the teenager is raw on the tour with just three matches so far all ending in defeat. 

The Spaniard does have a winning record against lefties, but that is at Challenger level and the fact Norrie is statistically better on clay across the entirety of his year should give him the confidence to win here and set up a showdown with Jiri Lehecka.
