Marta Kostyuk vs Linda Noskova prediction

Marta Kostuyk continued her serene progress at the US Open as she produced a very convincing performance to beat Ekaterina Alexandrova in straight sets. Kostyuk did find herself 2-0 down at the start of the second set after taking the lead, but she then reeled off the final six games to complete a 6-3 6-2 win. The Ukrainian, who has advanced to the semi-finals of her last two Grand Slams, is yet to drop a set at the tournament after also recording wins over Storm Hunter and Sloane Stephens. 

Linda Noskova set up a meeting with Kostyuk after a hard-fought win over Ann Lii. Noskova served for the match in the second set and also had a match point in the tiebreak, but Li went on to extend the contest after reeling off three points in a row. Nevertheless, the Wimbledon champion responded to win 6-2 6-7 (6) 6-2.

This will be their third meeting and their first on a hard court. Kostyuk won their first match in Madrid on her way to winning the title, with Noskova winning their next encounter in the semi-finals of Wimbledon less than two months ago. Kostyuk has been the more convincing player so far at the event, and if she replicates her third-round display, she will be difficult to stop.
