Marie Bouzkova recovered from going a set down to defeat Ann Li and advance into the semi-finals of the Prague Open. Bouzkova went an early break up, but Li reeled off four straight games tom take the first set. She will face 18-year-old Tereza Valentova in the last four as the teenager continued her brilliant run with a crushing win over Jessika Ponchet. She went an early break down, but after that it was total domination as she won the next 12 service games to win 6-2 6-0. Valentova has not dropped a set yet this week.
Bouzkova will be viewed as the favourite with her greater pedigree and higher ranking, but you cannot discount Valentova, who has now won eight matches on the spin and is emerging as a fine player on the tour. This could prove to be a very close encounter between the two Czechs.
