Mariano Navone vs Felix Auger-Aliassime prediction

Mariano Navone is struggling to make a real impact this season on clay. His best result during the South American clay court swing in February was just a quarter-final appearance in Argentina where he lost to Joao Fonseca.

More recently, he lost in the second-round of the Bucharest Open to Marton Fucsovics in a rematch of last year’s final and then made it through qualifying for Monte-Carlo, only to be on the end of a straight sets loss to Matteo Berrettini in the first-round.

He now faces Felix Auger-Aliassime in the opening round of this event, with the Canadian hoping to overcome the disappointment of last week. He was one of the earliest casualties on the first day in Monte-Carlo, losing in straight sets to German qualifier Daniel Altmaier.

Auger-Aliassime’s form has dipped since a very strong February, which saw him reach two finals and make another semi-final appearance, but we still fancy him to beat Navone over three sets.
