Marcos Giron vs Sebastian Baez prediction

Marcos Giron’s losing run extended to five matches after a loss in Tokyo qualifying to Jaume Munar. Giron did win the first set but went on to lose 5-7 6-1 6-4. He is without a main draw victory since his second-round win at Wimbledon back in July. His highlights of the campaign were right at the start of the year, with back-to-back semi-finals in Hong Kong and Auckland.

Sebastian Baez also found his best form during the beginning of the season, reaching a final in Auckland but losing to Jakub Mensik. He also advanced to a couple of semi-finals during the Golden Swing in February. The Argentine’s form has dropped off considerably over the past few months, and he has lost his last four matches in total.

Baez will take confidence from the head-to-head, as he leads 3-0 and 2-0 on outdoor hard court. However, nether player can be viewed as a clear favourite after recent results.
