Marcos Giron vs Alexander Bublik prediction

Alexander Bublik overcame an improving Juncheng Shang to book a spot in the last four in Hong Kong.

The second seed followed up a rampant opener with clinical work in a second-set tie break to triumph 6-1 7-6 over the Chinese wildcard.

Bublik now takes on Marcos Giron for the fourth time after the American progressed when his compatriot Michael Mmoh retired at 6-3 1-0 down.

This will be a fifth meeting between the pair with Giron leading the head-to-head 3-1, winning the last three in succession.

However, their most recent encounter was back in 2023 and Bublik is certainly a more focused and dangerous opponent nowadays.

Giron loves these sorts of challenges and will aim to frustrate and ruffle the feathers of the Kazakhstani, but if Bublik conjures up one of those displays packed full of magic and big serving, he should seal a spot in another final.
