Marc Polmans vs Grigor Dimitrov prediction

Marc Polmans is set to compete in the main draw of the Mallorca Championships after winning both of his matches in qualifying. This will be his first appearance on the ATP Tour this season, having failed to qualify for the Libema Open a fortnight ago. He earned his first tour-level doubles title at the Geneva Open last month.

He takes on 2014 Wimbledon semi-finalist Grigor Dimitrov in the first-round. The Bulgarian received a wildcard for this event. He competed on the Challenger Tour in Dublin last week, winning two matches before losing to Kyrian Jacquet in the quarter-finals. His ranking has now dropped to 164 in the world. 

Dimitrov is well past his best at this stage of his career, but he will hope for as many matches as possible under his belt before the start of Wimbledon. He should have more than enough quality to make it through to the next round with a win over Polmans.
