Mananchaya Sawangkaew vs Emma Raducanu prediction

Mananchaya Sawangkaew is set to make her first main draw appearance at a Grand Slam in Melbourne. She reached a high of 100 in the world in June last year, while she is coming into this event on the back of a title after winning a lower-level tournament in Nonthaburi last week.

She faces Emma Raducanu in round one. Raducanu is seeded for this Grand Slam, but her preparations have been affected by a “light bone bruising” on her right foot in the off-season, which caused her to miss the early part of the United Cup. She did compete in Adelaide as the top seed and won her first-round match against Camila Osorio, but she then fell to a disappointing defeat to world number 204 Taylah Preston.

Raducanu does not seem close to her best in the lead up to this tournament, but she should have more than enough to defeat Sawangkaew in round one.

Mananchaya Sawangkaew vs Emma Raducanu tip: Emma Raducanu to win 2-0
