Ons Jabeur has recorded back-to-back quarter-final appearances in the French Open over the last two years, but won’t find it easy repeating the feat when considering her form heading into this year’s competition. The Tunisian failed to win a game in both Madrid and Rome, progressing to the second round in the Italian Open due to a walkover.
Magdalena Frech represents a difficult draw for Jabeur. Only last fall, the Pole had a world singles ranking of 22 and whilst she does not have the greatest record at Roland-Garros having only reached the second round once, the 27-year-old has enough about her game on clay to really trouble her opponent here.
