Madison Keys vs Wang Xiyu prediction

Madison Keys, a former winner in Cincinnati in 2019, will be hoping to go deep once again this time around and she comes off a convincing 6-1 6-3 win over Katerina Siniakova last time out.

Keys was dominant in that match and looks to be warming into the tournament as she will aim to reach what could be a loaded quarter-final line-up with so many of the top seeds still in the women’s tournament.

She takes on China’s Wang Ziyu who was handed a walkover last time out after Elina Svitolina was forced to withdraw from the tournament.

The 25-year-old should be fresh and ready to go, but of course she may be a little under cooked too in terms of preparation compared to her opponent.

That said, she did have to come through two rounds of qualifying so she has already played four matches in Cincinnati so far.

We expect Keys to have too much experience and quality for Wang in this one. She has beaten her once before in Eastbourne three years ago, and we ultimately think she will have too much all-round quality for the Chinese 25-year-old.
