Madison Keys vs Peyton Stearns prediction

Madison Keys will be aiming for a first ever win over her compatriot Peyton Stearns in Rome.

The Australian Open champion’s excellent 2025 continues to motor along nicely with a 7-6 6-1 success over Varvara Gracheva in the second round.

It sets up an all-American showdown with world number 42 Stearns, who has yet to drop a set in the Italian capital and was highly impressive in a 6-2 6-3 demolition of Anna Kalinskaya.

Intriguingly, Stearns leads the head-to-head 1-0 having led 3-6 7-5 3-0 before Keys retired in Toronto last year.

It may well be a tougher assignment than many will be predicting, but Keys has only lost four times in her last 26 matches and that confidence as well as the desire to earn the USA bragging rights should get her over the line.
