Madars Razma vs Christian Kist Prediction
Latvia’s Madars Razma has enjoyed arguably his best year in the PDC, reaching a European Tour semi-final in May as well as a semi-final and a further three quarter-finals in Players Championship events.
The 36-year-old is no stranger to the Ally Pally stage too, with this being his sixth straight appearance at the showpiece event, and last year he reached the third round for the first time in his career before bowing out to Michael Smith, who was the defending champion at the time.
Christian Kist’s career has been beset with injury problems but he has at least played a fair few PDC Pro Tour tournaments in 2024, the highlight being a run to the semi-finals at Players Championship 22 in September.
The former BDO world champion also scooped three Development Tout titles this year, finishing third on the Order of Merit to qualify for his sixth PDC World Darts Championship.
This is a difficult one to call as you are never quite sure where Kist’s game is at. The Dutchman has played to a high level at times this year but inconsistency remains a big issue around his game. What we do know though, is that Razma is one of the most frequent T19-hitters on the circuit, so backing Kist to hit more 180s looks a smart play.
