Lulu Sun vs Magda Linette prediction
Lulu Sun is ranked just inside the top 100 of the world rankings as she prepares for the Dubai Tennis Championships. The New Zealander has only competed in two events so far this season and is still searching for her first victory. She was defeated by Linda Fruhvirtova in round one of the Australian Open. Sun then competed at the Philippine Women’s Open in Manila but lost to Lin Zhu in straight sets.
Magda Linette is her opponent. The 34-year-old began the season strongly, with back-to-back quarter-final appearances in Auckland and Hobart. She then won her first two matches at the Australian Open, before a loss in the third-round against Karolina Muchova. Linette competed in Doha last week but lost to Mirra Andreeva in round two.
Linette’s tour-level experience and greater pedigree make her the clear favourite to win against Sun, who has barely got going in 2026 so far.
