Luka Pavlovic vs Botic van de Zandschulp prediction
Luka Pavlovic is set to make his debut on the ATP Tour after winning both of his qualifying matches in Rotterdam. He defeated Billy Harris in the first stage and then produced a brilliant performance to defeat Hamad Medjedovic in a dramatic three set match. Pavlovic saved a match point in the deciding set tiebreak before holding his nerve and going on to win. He has been the runner up at three Challenger Tour events.
He takes on Botic van de Zandschulp. The Dutchman last competed at the Open Occitanie in Montpellier, going down to Ugo Humbert in straight sets. He advanced to round three at the Australian Open last month, losing to Novak Djokovic. Van de Zandschulp lost in the first-round of this event last year, losing to eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz despite taking the match into a deciding set.
The pressure is all on Van de Zandschulp as the far more seasoned player at a home event but he should have enough quality, especially on serve, to make it through.
