Luciano Darderi vs Lorenzo Musetti prediction

Lorenzo Musetti faces an all-Italian clash with Luciano Darderi in Shanghai. 

The eighth seed won his previous two meetings with his lower-ranked compatriot last year but they were both hard-fought. 

Indeed, Musetti’s form has been so strong in recent months and he made short work of Francisco Comesana last time out. 

The 26th seed Darderi disappointed home fans with a 6-4 6-4 success over Bu Yunchaokete but will need an A-game performance to earn the bragging rights here. 

A failure to win big points in their previous meetings has cost Darderi and given the way Musetti has come up clutch in reaching the latter stages of so many tournaments recently, you can’t really go against the favourite here.
