Lucia Bronzetti vs Yue Yuan prediction
Lucia Bronzetti got through both of her matches in qualifying, though the Italian is without a main draw victory since her run to the round-of-16 in Cincinnati. That was arguably her most impressive result of the season, along with a 250 final in Cluj during the earlier part of the year. However, Bronzetti does have a negative win-loss record overall, with 25 defeats from 45 matches.
Yue Yuan advanced to the second-round of the China Open last time out after beating Yuliia Putintseva, but she was no match for top seed Iga Swiatek as she went down in straight sets. Yuan was on a four match losing run before the tournament, and she will need to get a run of form going if she is to make it into the top 100 of the world rankings before the end of the season.
These two are very evenly-matched, with neither player in particularly great form. Yuan is the home favourite, but a three set battle is more likely overall.
