Lorenzo Musetti enjoyed the best season of his career in 2025 as he qualified for the ATP World Tour Finals for the first time and ended the year in the top 10. Musetti’s last title was in 2022, and he has now lost his last seven finals in a row. Despite that disappointment, he moved up to his highest ever ranking of world number five.
He faces Raphael Collignon. The Belgian broke through last year, winning two Challenger titles and entering the top 100 for the first time. He is now at 72 in the world, his highest ranking. Collignon impressed in his first event of the year, winning four matches in a row, including the qualifiers, to get through to the quarter-finals of the Brisbane International, where he lost to Brandon Nakashima.
Collignon could make this competitive but Musetti’s far higher ranking, broader experience at the top level and superior variety should be enough to give him the win in straight sets.
