Lorenzo Musetti returns to competitive action for the first time since his Australian Open heartbreak.

The Italian was two sets up on ten-time champion Novak Djokovic in the quarter finals when injury struck and forced him to retire.

All eyes will be on how the fifth seed moves on his return to ensure there are no lingering doubts or issues.

First up, he faces a maiden clash with  world number 56 Marton Fucsovics, who defeated Chris O’Connell 7-5 6-3 in the first round. 

The Hungarian is a solid performer and capable of pulling off the upset if Musetti isn’t quite right. However, Lorenzo hasn’t been out so long that he will lack rhythm on his groundstrokes and once he is confident in his movement he is likely to pull clear.
