Lorenzo Musetti appears to have carried on his excellent form from last season after booking a spot in his first final of 2026.
The top seed hit the comeback trail to defeat third seed Andrey Rublev 6-7 7-5 6-4 in a high-class and keenly-contested last four encounter.
The Italian will now meet second seed Alexander Bublik in Sunday’s showdown for the winner’s trophy after the Kazakhstani also came from behind to sink Marcos Giron 3-6 6-4 6-2.
This will be their fourth meeting with Bublik 2-1 up in the head-to-head. The second seed won their only previous clash on a hardcourt and is also carrying on where he left off in 2025 when he played some of the best and most consistent tennis of his career.
Bublik has the potential to snare more cheap points on serve while both are capable of conjuring up moments of magic and variety.
That should make this a great spectacle and there’s possibly good value in betting on it going the distance with some likely momentum shifts, or tipping Bublik for a mini upset.
