Lions vs Argentina prediction
The British & Irish Lions begin their preparations for their tour of Australia later in the summer by facing a difficult opponent in the form of Argentina in Dublin.
The British collective are coached by Andy Farrell, who is taking a break from his duties as Ireland boss, and will be captained by Maro Itoje – the first Englishman to captain the Lions since Martin Johnson in 2001.
Argentina have never beaten the Lions, although given the strides they have made in world rugby in recent times, they have a very real chance here. The Pumas are ranked fifth in the world and have recorded victories over New Zealand, South Africa and France last year.
Head coach Felipe Contepomi will be hoping that his talented side can catch the Lions cold here, and we’re expecting a competitive contest. Ultimately though, Farrell’s squad are littered with talent and should edge it.
