Linda Noskova is into her third semi-final of the season after beating Katerina Siniakova in three sets in her quarter-final match. Noskova recovered well at the start of the third set to win 6-2 4-6 6-3. She makes it through to the last four in Prague for the third year running and she will hope this is finally her time to win her home tournament.
Wang Xinyu is her opponent as the Chinese player defeated young Czech Sara Bejlek 6-4 6-1. The match spanned over two days as the players were forced off on Thursday evening due to bad light. The two traded breaks in the first with Wang edging ahead but she raced clear in the second to win in straight sets. She has performed strongly to reach another semi-final after her brilliant run to the final of the German Open just last month.
Noskova will be hopeful of reaching her second final, but she will have to dig deep to get past a battling competitor like Wang. This could be a tight match, but we give Noskova the edge in front of her home supporters.
