Linda Noskova vs Marie Bouzkova prediction
Top seed Linda Noskova made it through to her second Prague Open final after comfortably beating Wang Xinyu in two sets. Noskova has not been at her best during this tournament, but this was her best performance of the week as she won 6-4 6-1 without facing a break point after just an hour and ten minutes.
She was always going to face a fellow Czech in the final, but it will be Marie Bouzkova after she got past teenager Tereza Valentova. Bouzkova went an early break up in the first set but was pegged back by Valentova, only to get back in front and win the set 6-4. Valentova threatened again in the second as she built a 5-3 lead and served for a decider. Nevertheless, the greater experience showed as the fourth seed reeled off four straight games to win the encounter in straight sets.
Bouzkova does lead the head-to-head 2-1 and they’ve all been on hard court. However, Noskova won their most recent match in the first-round of the Australian Open last year. It promises to be a wonderful atmosphere with two players competing in the final of their home tournament, but Noskova has battled her way through the field and will be desperate for the title here after two near misses in the last two years. It may be a tight match but we give her the advantage.
