Linda Noskova vs Elena-Gabriela Ruse prediction

Linda Noskova is the world number six as she begins her campaign at the China Open. Her 2026 season has already been an incredible success after her first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon. This was her second title of the campaign, following the WTA 500 event in Berlin. She carried that strong level onto the hard courts at the US Open, reaching the quarter-finals before losing an exceptionally tight three set match to Aryna Sabalenka. Noskova played a pivotal role in securing Czech Republic’s title at the Billie Jean King Cup, winning all three of her singles matches last week. She performed well at this event last year, going all the way to the final and losing to Amanda Anisimova.

Elena-Gabriela Ruse shone in round one, defeating Lilli Tagger in straight sets. The first set was competitive, but Ruse controlled the second to win 6-4 6-2. That followed a Seoul quarter-final run in which she beat Eva Lys and Yeon Woo Ku, before a three set loss to Anna Bondar.

Ruse does lead the head-to-head 1-0 after a surprise win at the Bad Homburg Open earlier this year, but Noskova is in great form and remains a clear favourite.
