Leo Borg vs Denis Shapovalov prediction
Leo Borg registered the second ATP Tour victory of his career as he eased past Sebastian Ofner in straight sets. Ofner had lost his eight previous matches and struggled to impose himself as Borg held his nerve to win 6-3 6-4 in front of a home crowd. He joins his father Bjorn as a match winner of the event, and he now has Denis Shapovalov in his sights.
Shapovalov is the third seed and received a bye in round one. He failed to make a key breakthrough in Asia, losing in the first-round of Tokyo and then suffering an early exit to Jiri Lehecka at the Shanghai Masters. He has been inconsistent throughout the whole year, but he does have two titles to his name in 2025 and one of them was indoors.
Shapovalov aggressive, high-risk style translates well on this surface, as shown in Dallas earlier in the season when he beat Casper Ruud to win the title. He should have more than enough to overwhelm Borg and win in straight sets.
