He received a bye in round one and now faces Sebastian Baez. The Argentine came back from the brink to defeat Grigor Dimtrov in his opening match. Baez won just a single game in the first set as Dimitrov took control, but he did level the match in the second. The Bulgarian then opened up a 4-1 lead in the decider and was just two games from victory, until Baez reeled off the final five games to complete a 1-6 6-3 6-4 victory.
Tien is a clear favourite to win again in straight sets.
