Learner Tien vs Felix Auger-Aliassime prediction

Learner Tien got his grass court season underway with a straight-forward win over wildcard Max Schoenhaus. The American was not broken on serve and created 10 break point opportunities in total as he wrapped up a 6-2 6-4 win after just an hour and five minutes. This was Tien’s first match since his third-round defeat at Roland Garros.

He will now face top seed Felix Auger-Aliassime for a place in the quarter-finals. The Canadian was tested by Nuno Borges in his opening match but prevailed in three sets. Borges levelled the encounter in the second set, but Auger-Aliassime recovered to win 6-3 3-6 6-3.

Tien came through his opener comfortably and has shown that he can adapt quickly to different surfaces. Auger Aliassime will always be a threat with that serve of his, but his level does tend to fluctuate within matches, and those lapses could be costly against someone as consistent as Tien.
