The 37-year-old German has picked up just one win so far in 2026 and was shocked by Aussie youngster Maddison Inglis in the first Major of the year.

The world number 48 will hope to kick-start some form in Qatar beginning with a maiden encounter with Varvara Gracheva.

The French world number 73 has only won one of her last five going back into last year and has not been prolific on tour since a stand-out 2023 campaign.
