Lanlana Tararudee vs Linda Noskova prediction

Lanlana Tararudee beat Elvina Kalieva in three sets to book her place in the second-round of the US Open. The Thai player struck 11 aces and also won 84% of her points on first serve, though she did commit six double faults. She won 6-3 6-7 6-2 after two hours and 45 minutes. Tararudee has enjoyed a breakthrough season, winning her first WTA 125 title in Austin and cracking the top 100 in the world rankings for the first time.

She faces Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova for a place in round three. Noskova overcame a very slow start to beat Katie Volynets. The sixth seed was 5-2 down and saved two set points, before winning 11 of the final 12 games to prevail 7-5 6-1. 

Tararudee has enough power to make this uncomfortable, particularly if her first serve is firing, but Noskova possesses the heavier and more reliable baseline game.
