Kyrian Jacquet makes his first main draw appearance at Wimbledon after qualifying for the tournament at the third attempt. The Frenchman defeated Timofey Skatov in three sets to book his place. These two actually faced each other in Wimbledon qualifying last year, with Jacquet winning in straight sets. He also defeated Gaubas at a Challenger event in San Marino, so the head-to-head is 2-0 in his favour. Jacquet may have the advantage mentally in this one, but this is a fine opportunity for both players to reach the second-round of a Grand Slam for the first time.
