Kyrian Jacquet vs Nuno Borges prediction
Kyrian Jacquet is ranked 151 in the world but is through to the main draw of the French Open after wins over Taro Daniel, Stefano Napolitano and Jurij Rodionov in qualifying. He competes on the Challenger Tour and has picked up two wins this season in Chennai and New Delhi, beating Elias Ymer and Billy Harris in both finals.
He takes on Nuno Borges in the first-round. Borges made the semi-finals of the Auckland Classic in early January but has failed to reproduce that level on the main tour since. He lost in the second-round of the Geneva Open last time out and has only completed successive wins on the surface once this season, and that was aided by Holger Rune’s withdrawal midway through their first-round match in Monte-Carlo.
Despite Borges not enjoying the best of form right now on clay, he should still make it through against the far lower-ranked Jacquet and reach the second-round of Roland Garros for the second time.
