Kimmer Coppejans vs Stefanos Tsitsipas prediction

Kimmer Coppejans will be making his first tour-level appearance of the campaign after qualifying for the Shanghai Masters. The 32-year-old defeated Nishesh Basavareddy and Dane Sweeny. He has advanced to five semi-finals on the Challenger Tour. Coppejans is ranked outside the world’s top 230, having risen to a career high of 97 back in June 2015. 

He will face former world number three Stefanos Tsitsipas in the first-round. Tsitsipas’ best result at this event is a semi-final appearance in 2019, where he lost to Daniil Medvedev in two close sets. He is back inside the world’s top 50 again, having advanced to the round-of-16 at the US Open for the first time in his career. Tsitsipas qualified for the Japan Open and won his first-round match against Tomas Martin Etcheverry, before a loss to Valentin Vacherot. 

There have been more positive signs for the Greek in recent weeks, and he should have far too much quality for Coppejans.
