Kei Nishikori vs Ugo Humbert Prediction

Kei Nishikori showed great fight in the first round as he battled to a three-set win over Jaume Munar on his return to Indian Wells for the first time since 2021.

The 35-year-old did not have it all his own way against the Spaniard and was in fact down on many of the key statistics, but he somehow managed to produce the win.

He now faces France’s Ugo Humbert who will be a tough test for him and 18th seed has been in good form this year so far. Humbert won the Open 13 tournament in Marseille in the middle of February and will be fired up to do well in Indian Wells.

Bizarrely the pair have never met before so it will be interesting to see how they measure up but we fully expect Humbert to have too much for the Japanese veteran.
