Learner Tien’s struggles on clay are likely to be exposed by veteran Kei Nishikori. 

The 19-year-old American finally got a main draw win on the dirt against Reilly Opelka in Rome, but he’s still finding his feet on the surface. 

Nishikori hasn’t featured on tour since Madrid but the 35-year-old’s excellent history on clay means that if he is fit, then his greater craft on the surface should prove key.
