Katie Volynets vs Katie Boulter prediction

Katie Boulter continued her resurgence with a rampant win over Linda Fruhvirtova to reach the last four in Ostrava.

The Brit ended the Czech star’s own recent improvement with a dominant 6-3 6-2 triumph. 

It is a welcome return to her big-hitting best for the world number 120 who will now face-off with Katie Volynets for a place in the final. 

The American outlasted her compatriot Alycia Parks with a 5-7 6-4 6-2 comeback win. 

This will a stern test of Boulter’s renaissance  with Volynets back inside the top 100 and playing with a consistency stretching back into last season. 

Boulter can hit with the best of them when on-song but Volynets has a touch more movement on the defence and perhaps more mental resilience as highlighted again in her victory over Parks. 

If Boulter brings her A-game throughout she can win, but we expect Volynets to have the upper hand if she doesn’t.
