Katie Swan vs Madison Keys prediction

The only British woman remaining in the draw, Katie Swan will certainly have the crowd on her side when she takes to the court in the second round.

The 27-year-old required five match points to see off Irina-Camelia Begu in the first round but she eventually got the job done, replicating her victory over the same opponent eight years ago - the only previous time she won a main draw match at a Grand Slam.

It is three year's since Swan's last Grand Slam appearance, but the Wildcard entry's run could well come to a conclusion here against Madison Keys.

While this isn't the American's preferred surface, you still have to think she will have enough guile and precision to defeat an opponent who has played very little tennis at the top level in recent years.

Keys, the 26th seed, required three sets to defeat compatriot Kayla Day in the first round. This is unlikely to be straightforward either given the partisan crowd she will be facing, but we're backing the former Australian Open champion to come through in three.

Katie Swan vs Madison Keys tip: Madison Keys to win 2-1
