Katie Boulter vs Donna Vekic prediction
Katie Boulter pulled off the biggest win of her career in the quarter-finals of Queen's Club as she beat world number two and two-time Grand Slam champion Elena Rybakina. Boulter made a strong start and went ahead after the first set, but Rybakina responded with two breaks in the second to level the match. The former British number one dug in to save numerous break points at the start of the decider, and that proved crucial as she broke in the ninth game and served it out to win 7-5 2-6 6-4. This was Boulter’s second match of the day, following her win over Jaqueline Cristian.
She will now face Donna Vekic. The former Wimbledon semi-finalist continued her run at the event as she beat former world number one Karolina Pliskova. Vekic, who only entered the draw as a lucky loser, beat Marie Bouzkova earlier in the day and then outlasted Pliskova to win 6-4 4-6 6-3.
These two have played once before, with Boulter prevailing in San Diego two years ago on her way to the title. She is performing very strongly at the moment, and this is a fabulous opportunity to reach another final on home soil.
