Katerina Siniakova vs Iga Swiatek Prediction

2024 was an eventful year for world number two Iga Swiatek, who won her fourth French Open in June and also added four WTA 1000 titles to her resume. However, the five-time Grand Slam champion received a one-month doping ban in November after testing positive for a substance that she had inadvertently consumed via her sleeping medication.

The Pole's best performance at the Australian Open was a run to the last four in 2022, while her preparation for this event includes a final appearance whilst representing her country in the United Cup.

Doubles specialist Katerina Siniakova has not had a great deal of joy in the Australian Open Singles, winning just three of her 14 career matches, but she has won WTA titles on all three surfaces in the past.

With her core focus mainly on the Doubles though, where she is the world number one, Swiatek is likely to make light work of her. For extra value, consider backing the number two seed to overcome a handicap.

Katerina Siniakova vs Iga Swiatek Tip: Iga Swiatek to win with -6 games handicap
