Karolina Muchova vs Caty McNally prediction

Karolina Muchova produced another strong showing last time out in Beijing, advancing to the quarter-finals. She squeezed past Naomi Osaka in the round-of-16, but then ran out of steam against compatriot Nikola Bartunkova, winning just three games in total across the match. Muchova remains in a strong position to qualify for the WTA Finals next month, with the Czech in seventh position currently. Muchova reached the Wimbledon final this year and won a WTA 1000 title in Doha. 

She faces Caty McNally in Wuhan. McNally made it three wins in a row, including qualifying, after a comeback win over Yuliia Starodubtseva. She was 4-1 down in the deciding set but reeled off the final five games to complete a 2-6 7-6 (2) 6-4 victory after two hours and 56 minutes.

Muchova has been impressive this season and she will be regarded as the clear favourite to come through with the victory here.
