Karolina Muchova vs Ajla Tomljanovic prediction

Karolina Muchova enters this season ranked 20 in the world. Her results were largely consistent on the whole, making three semi-finals, which included a WTA 1000 event in Dubai, and a quarter-final at the US Open. Muchova struggled with a few injuries last year and will be aiming for a fully fit 2026.

She goes up against Ajla Tomljanovic. The Australian began her season with a straight sets win over Elsa Jacquemot. Tomljanovic did not enjoy the best of seasons in 2025 but began brightly here as she broke on five occasions overall to win 6-1 6-3. She did go 3-1 down in the second but reeled off five games in a row to seal victory.  She also leads the head-to-head 1-0 after an impressive win in the first-round of the 2022 US Open.

Muchova is a fine player on the hard courts and will be expected to come through comfortably.
