Karen Khachanov reached the third-round at Wimbledon for the second straight year after a comfortable win over Yannick Hanfmann. The Russian required four sets to get past Billy Harris in round one, but he was never troubled in this match as he won 6-3 6-4 6-4. Khachanov produced a first serve percentage of 78% and faced just two break points overall.
He will face Flavio Cobolli for a place in the round-of-16. The Roland Garros finalist beat James Duckworth in four sets. Cobolli was tested at times, as he was in his first-round match against Mariano Navone, but struck 59 winners on his way to winning 7-6 (4) 3-6 7-6 (3) 6-1.
