Justin Engel vs James Duckworth prediction

James Duckworth will be a big favourite when he takes on German wildcard Justin Engel. 

The Aussie has a solid if unspectacular record on grass and did reach the quarter-finals here last year. 

The 33-year-old came through qualifying and also featured very briefly in the Birmingham Challenger so is well attuned to the surface.

In contrast, Engel is a 17-year-old novice featuring in his first main draw on grass. 

The teenage wildcard made headlines recently when he beat Jan-Lennard Struff in Hamburg and the world number 281 will try to rise to the occasion in front of the home fans again. 

However, grass is tough to master and Duckworth should have the experience to take care of business and avoid a shock and a significant loss of ranking points.
