In only his second ATP match since February, Juncheng Shang overcame clay specialist Adolfo Daniel Vallejo in straight sets on Sunday as he moved into the second round of the Canadian Open for the first time in his career.
Shang only offered one break-point opportunity in the entire match in a dominant display on serve, but this is a significant step-up in class against the tenth seed.
