Juan Manuel Cerundolo vs Luciano Darderi prediction

Juan Manuel Cerundolo began well at the Argentina Open as he crushed Daniel Altmaier 6-2 6-2 in his first-round match. However, despite having opportunities, he would lose in the next stage of the tournament to Pedro Martinez. He reached the semi-finals of the Rosario Challenger a week earlier, losing to eventual winner Camilo Ugo Carabelli.

Luciano Darderi is his first-round opponent. He came up just short in Buenos Aires as he was defeated in the final by top seed Francisco Cerundolo. Darderi had shown a strong level in his semi-final match against Sebastian Baez, winning in straight sets, but he was largely ineffectual against Cerundolo as he lost 6-4 6-2. Darderi now goes up against his younger brother.

Darderi leads 3-2 in the head-to-head but this is their first official ATP meeting. Darderi will be aiming to go one better this week and the Italian is a tough first-round opponent for the 24-year-old.
