Jordan Thompson vs Adrian Mannarino prediction

Jordan Thompson and Adrian Mannarino will do battle for the 10th time in their careers in Cincinnati. 

The Frenchman leads the head-to-head 5-4 but the Aussie has won the last two and has triumphed in three of their four encounters on a hard court. 

Mannarino has won 13 of his last 17 matches across all levels to move back inside the top 100 and surged through qualifying without dropping a set. 

Meanwhile, Thompson is featuring for the first time since Wimbledon but does appear to be back in some form after fitness issues earlier in the year. 

If it turns into a battle the Aussie may well have the legs given he is six years younger than the 37-year-old Frenchman, but if Thommo is on song he may well have the greater weapons and movement on this surface anyway, as he has proved in the past against this opponent.
